Suzhou, a city that blends tradition and modernity, is also a fertile ground where the spirit of dreaming and fraternity is nourished. In this mesmerizing city, we were fortunate to meet a young soul named Jessie Ma, a 16-year-old student.
Jessie is a girl born and raised in Suzhou. Her roots run deep there, and with profound kinship connection towards this city of classical gardens. She admits, "I started with the story of Suzhou." In this loving city, her philanthropic journey begins. She shared with us about her participation in a variety of philanthropic activities in Suzhou. Among them, Feige is the most impressive.

Feige Charity Organization, a nonprofit school organization in Suzhou North America High School, has been thriving for more than five years and is determined to weave positive change into the fabric of the surrounding community.
"Our mission is to shed light on the overlooked corners of the world, to echo with the silent cries of those who are poor and weary," Jessie shared with a poignant intensity. "It's a harsh reality that these individuals are often lost in the noise of our busy lives. That’s why we pour our efforts into programs like the UNICEF donation initiative for refugee children in Syria.”

“War has ravaged their homes. While we sit here, engaged in comfortable conversation, there are souls in this world who can't partake in such simple pleasures. Our duty is to raise public consciousness about their plight and to serve as their voice."
Such donation is only one of many Feige’s contributions. Feige has also undertaken a rich and diverse range of activities in philanthropy, from expanding connections beyond the campus to igniting sparks within it. In the shadow of the pandemic, they have looked to the campus to light up the campus with events such as the Talent Show and Earth Day fundraisers. Through these recreational activities, Feige aims to both create a better atmosphere in school while doing charitable works. One day, they hope they can truly echo with the silent cries, be it far or near.

Jessie also shows us her talent as a copywriter. In her well-refined remarks, the stories in Feige are presented, tinged with kindness, powerful yet soothing. For her, the organization is more than just a charity. It's a resonating melody that awakens the world to the fact that human love has no boundaries.
“No man is an island,”she concluded by the end of the interview, “when I came to Feige, I suddenly came to realize that I belong here, and I want those sentiments to be shared.”
