In the reading corner of the campus, a little girl was holding her favorite rabbit plush toy, carefully reading a book word by word, completely immersed in her own little world. Her eyes sparkled with a thirst for knowledge, and she exuded a sense of maturity. Youran has been at Tangwan Primary School for two years now and in the third grade this year. Although young, she spoke with the demeanor of a "little adult," serious yet adorable.

"Can I think about it for a moment?"
She always asked the interviewer the same question before speaking. Occasionally, she furrowed her brow, her gaze thoughtful, playing with her pink rabbit toy as she contemplated. After having a mature and coherent answer in mind, she slowly spoke out a logical answer.
"My favorite place in school is the library because I can borrow books to read. I love literature."
"What do you like to do outside of school?"
"I love reading."
Youran was a very academic child; she loved reading. Whenever asked about her daily life and hobbies, she always firmly and confidently repeated two words: "reading." Her curiosity for knowledge and interest in books made us, teenagers, feel inferior, and her favorite literary books left the interviewer marveling at their "depth."
"I like art class the most because I can bring clay to make little animals, and I enjoy drawing."
Besides reading, Youran also seemed to have a strong interest in drawing. When mentioning art class, her steady tone unexpectedly rose, and her eyes sparkled with excitement. When we asked what job she would like to pursue in the future, Youran replied that she wanted to be a Chinese language teacher.
"Why not teach art, which you love?"
"I don't teach art because I'm not good at drawing."
Youran's mature tone and pragmatic viewpoint left us both shocked and touched, marveling at this third grader's "seriousness."
"I also like jumping rope; last year we participated in a double rope jumping competition."
"How was the experience of participating in the competition?"
"The result was quite good; we jumped 29 double rope jumps in one minute."
When talking about her skill in jumping rope, Youran shed her mature demeanor, revealing innocence and childishness that were coherent for her age. A hint of adorable "little pride" flashed in her eyes as she pouted, trying hard to suppress her smiling lips. When she heard the compliment, she shyly scratched her head.
Youran's mature composure, which formed an endearing contrast with the pink toy in her hands, left a deep impression on us. We hope to see her diligent and eager figure in reading corners around the world in the future. May she do what she wants to do and become who she wants to be. We wish this "little adult," Yuyuan, to grow up strong and continue to embrace her passion for reading, painting, as well as jump rope.
在校园的图书角,一个小女孩抱着自己最爱的兔子玩偶,旁若无人的一字一句仔细读着书,沉浸在自己的小世界中。她的眼神中闪烁着对知识的渴望,身上透露着成熟模样。悠然小朋友来塘湾小学两年了,今年三年级。虽然年龄较小,但讲话俨然有一副“小大人”的模样,认真又可爱。
“能让我先思考一下吗?”
讲话前,她总是重复着问采访员同一个问题。她时不时皱皱眉,眼神若有所思,思考的途中把玩着怀中的粉色兔子玩偶。待心中有一个成熟连贯的答复后,她才慢条斯理的讲出逻辑缜密的答案。
“在学校里我最喜欢的地方是图书馆,因为可以借书看,我最喜欢文学类的书”。
“那你在校外最喜欢做什么呀?”
“最喜欢读书。”
悠然是个很学术的孩子,她热爱阅读。每当问起日常的生活与兴趣爱好时,她总是坚决又肯定的重复着两个字:“读书”。悠然小朋友对知识的好奇与对书籍的兴趣让在场的许多年长者都自愧不如,而她最喜欢的文学类书籍也让采访员不经感叹其“高深”。
“我最喜欢艺术课,因为可以带彩泥来堆小动物,我喜欢画画。”
除去阅读,悠然对画画好似也有着浓厚的兴趣。提到艺术课时,悠然平稳的语调不经上扬,眼里闪烁着光点。而当我们问以后想从事什么工作时,悠然则回答想做一名教语文的教师。
“诶?为什么不教你最喜欢的艺术呢?”
“不教艺术因为我画画不好。”
悠然小朋友成熟的语气和其务实的观点让听到这里我们哭笑不得,忍不住感慨这位三年级小朋友的“老成持重”。
“我还喜欢跳绳,去年我们还参加了双人跳绳的比赛。”
“参加比赛的感受怎么样呢?”
“结果还算可以,我们一分钟内跳了29个双人跳绳。”
当讲到自己擅长的跳绳时,悠然褪去了她的成熟模样,透露出了属于其年纪的童真与稚气。悠然眼神中闪过一丝可爱的“小傲娇”,她嘟着小嘴,努力抑制着自己不住上挑的嘴角。而在听到夸奖时,她又害羞的挠了挠头。
悠然小朋友身上独一份的成稳让我们对她印象颇深,而她年幼的岁数与手中的粉色玩偶又形成了有趣可爱的反差。希望在未来在世界各地的图书角都能看到她认真好学的身影。做自己想做的事,成为自己想成为的人。祝愿这位张悠然“小大人”能够茁壮成长,继续保持自己对读书、画画,以及跳绳的热情。
